The Hermitage Hotel in Bournemouth, has recently acquired The Orton Rigg Hotel which specialises in helping arthritis suffers enjoy their holidays in confortable surroundings. The Orton Rigg Hotel, situated in Canford Cliffs, Poole, has been specialy built for arthritis suffers and their families to allow them to take a break in an impressive Victorian country house, tucked away in a secluded setting. It is a short walk to the village shops and a level stroll to the nearby cliff tops with sea views over Poole Bay.

The hotel is also designed for guests with wheelchairs and has many wheelchair suites with specially designed bathrooms and facilities. All the hotel's bedrooms have colour TV, radio and tea making facilities. Most of them have en suite bathrooms with toilet and shower.

The hotel, which once belong to the Arthritis care hotel group, was acquired by The Hermitage Hotel in the summer of 2007.
